Shenzhen University (SZU)

Founded in 1983, Shenzhen University (SZU) is a comprehensive public university located in Shenzhen, a modern metropolis known as China’s center of innovation and technology. Supported by the Shenzhen Municipal Government, SZU was established to cultivate globally minded talents and to contribute to the development of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. Over the years, the university has grown into one of China’s most dynamic and forward-looking higher education institutions.

Chinese Language Program

  • Tuition Fee: 11,000 RMB per semester
    (for courses with 24 or more teaching hours per week)
  • Accommodation: On-campus accommodation is not provided for this program.

Bachelor’s Degree Programs

Tuition Fee

  • Liberal Arts: 26,000 RMB per person per academic year
  • Science & Engineering: 30,000 RMB per person per academic year
  • Medicine, Arts, and Physical Education: 40,000 RMB per person per academic year

Master’s Degree Programs

Tuition Fee

  • Liberal Arts: 30,000 RMB per person per academic year
  • Science & Engineering: 35,000 RMB per person per academic year
  • Medicine, Arts, and Physical Education: 45,000 RMB per person per academic year

Accommodation:

  • Yuehai Campus: Single and double rooms are available. Fees range from 2,400 to 8,000 RMB per person per semester, depending on room type.
  • Lihu Campus: Four-person rooms are available at 750 RMB per person per semester.
    Students are required to pay accommodation fees according to the room type selected.
    (Water and electricity charges are not included.)

    • For Bachelor’s applicants: submit certificates and transcripts from Grade 10 to Grade 12 .

  4. Recommendation Letters
    • Bachelor’s applicants: two recommendation letters in English from school teachers.
    • Master’s applicants: two recommendation letter in English from a professor with a PhD background.
  5. Health / Medical Check-up Report – Completed using the official medical form template (to be printed and taken to a certified clinic/hospital).
  6. Language Proficiency Certificate : HSK 5 180+ // IELTS 5.5
  7. Study Plan / Personal Statement – Written in English or Chinese, depending on program requirements.
